In the 1946 post-war years in Limidi, Italy, the small shop of CENTAURO was the first in Italy to produce Band Saws with steel beds. The availability of this product with steel and cast iron quickly took hold in the domestic and international market. In 1970, the company expanded by manufacturing both manual and copying Lathes. Progressing into the 1990s, they added numerical control production systems, as well as chain & chisel Mortisers.
The Italian company has a staff of over 100 and manufactures its product line in a 269,000 sq. ft. facility.
